Regular Season Round 12: Derby - Crvena zvezda 81-89

Very expected game in Podgorica where 12th ranked MontenegrinDerby (4-8) was defeated by second ranked Serbian Crvena zvezda (10-2) 89-81 on Sunday. Crvena zvezda looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Mike Daum (206-1995, college: S.Dakota St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds and Brazilian point guard Yago Dos Santos (175-1999) who added 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Crvena zvezda players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was David Mirkovic (206-2006) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Erick Neal (178-1995, college: UT Arlington) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Crvena zvezda have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending Serbian champion maintains second position with 10-2 record behind leader Partizan, which they share with Buducnost. Derby lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with eight games lost.
